Do I need to book an appointment?

We always recommend that you book an appointment as it is important for us to dedicate our time to you to ensure the best possible experience. If you would like to come on a Saturday, please ensure that you book your appointment 2 -3 weeks in advance as it tends to be very busy. You can book your appointment on our website or by calling us on 0151 724 1767. Our appointments are typically 1.5 hours long but this may change from time to time if we have a special event but we will always let you know! Please try to arrive at your appointment on time as it is important not to rush such a special purchase. If you are a little excited and arrive early, there are lovely cafes on Rose Lane where you will be able to grab a coffee and cake!

If you are unable to attend or would like to rearrange your appointment we do ask that you let us know as soon as you can.

How can I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment at Liverpool Bridal Boutique in one of 5 ways: DM on Instagram, DM on Facebook, fill out our “Book an appointment” form on our website, email us on liverpoolbridalboutique@hotmail.com or call us on 0151 724 1767. We aim to respond to all messages within 24 hours with appointment options for the dates and times you would prefer. All we need is a contact number, wedding date and how many people you will be bringing with you, then we can get you booked in to try on some fabulous wedding dresses.

Who should I bring with me?

It is important to bring the people who know you best, and who you want to be part of your special experience! We have comfy seats and champagne glasses for 3-4 people so if you do intend to bring more please let us know so that we can have extra glasses ready!

Can I bring children with me?

Shopping for your wedding dress is a precious experience where we believe that the bride should be focused on themselves. As Mums, we completely understand that sometimes it is difficult to fully relax when you have your little ones with you. Therefore, we recommend not to bring young children to your bridal appointment. It is understandable that occasionally it can be hard to get childcare so if you do intend on bringing them along, please let us know in advance and we can make sure we have suitable entertainment to keep them occupied.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

It is handy to bring a nude strapless bra with you but it is not essential. Most wedding dresses will not require you to wear a bra on your wedding day anyway but for the purpose of trying on, it can help to visualize what it will be like. Some girls love to bring their heels with them but we do have a step for you to stand on which is the equivalent of a 4” inch heel to give you a better feel for the dress.

Is there parking available?

We are on a main road, so you can park anywhere you can find a space. Alternatively, there are roads to the side of the boutique where you should be able to find a parking space within a 5- 10-minute walking distance.

What size are your samples?

Our samples range from a Size 8 to Size 24. Please don’t panic, a sample dress will very rarely fit anyone perfectly but we do have ‘ways and means’ of everyone being able to try on a lovely selection of gowns.

What happens if I find “the one”?

We would absolutely love for you to find your dream dress with us! If you do, we ask for a 50% deposit to order the gown.

I’m officially an LBB Bride, so what happens now?

We will order your gown right away with the designer. Most dresses take approximately 5-6 months to arrive (unless agreed earlier with us) so please don’t be alarmed if we don’t contact you in the first few months! When your gown arrives we will call you to let you know that it is here and for you to pay the balance. We will then schedule you in for your first fitting, which is usually 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date. Our fittings are scheduled on Mondays from 1pm – 7pm. Most brides require 2 fittings, however, you may need more.

We don’t usually recommend that you come in to try on your actual gown until the first fitting as we would hate for you to get any marks on it. However, you are welcome to try on the sample at any time, just give us a call!

At your first fitting, you will need your shoes and your bra (if you are wearing one). This is very important as we will not be able to do the fitting without them! If you haven’t already chosen your veil, hair accessories or underskirt, we will try on different options at your first fitting and place the order then. Don’t worry, there is still enough time to do this!

Our seamstress will quote you separately on the day of your first fitting for your alterations and once she has completed the work we will schedule in a second fitting to check if there are any further alterations required. You will need to pay the seamstress separately once the gown has been completed.

Now you have your dream gown exactly to fit you! We will schedule in a date for you to collect your gown. If you are getting married in sunnier climates abroad and would like us to pack your bag/box, please ensure that you have brought this to us 3 days prior to your arranged collection date. Your gown and veil will be steamed and ready for you to collect on either a Thursday or Friday morning before 10.30am all ready for you to say “I do!”

Finally, if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call us on 0151 724 1767. We are here to help!
